We are very excited to be part of a program wherein we and several of our Re/Max Jazz fellow agents have partnered with the Paediatric Wing of Lakeridge Health in Oshawa to financially assist with replacing and updating the critical equipment their littlest patients rely on each day. For 2015, we are committed to participating in the purchase of the first and much needed Infant Resuscitation Unit for the Neonatal Unit. This unit is extremely important to achieving positive outcomes for high risk newborns.
For our part, we have committed to donating a part of our commission on every sale to support this wonderful cause. After we achieve this goal, we will work toward the purchase of a second Resuscitation Unit and four Fetal Monitors.
We just wanted you to know that when you hire us to handle your Real Estate transactions, or refer us to friends, you will also be contributing to WEE♥MAX!Please give us a call if you would like more information or if you would like to participate in any way.
This I Know For Sure
Selling a house these days has become a beauty contest and a price war. When you bought your house years ago, you probably looked past the previous owner's décor and clutter and simply pictured yourself living there. Young buyers today are busy, busy, busy. As a rule they have great future income potential but come out of school with student loans and therefore, limited cash flow. The bulk of their money has gone into the down payment for their first home so they don't look at your unfinished projects with eagerness. They want a finished, move- in ready property and if you want to sell your home quickly and for the best possible dollar, you need to concentrate on providing this.
We always recommend to our sellers that they take advantage of the services of a home stager. In addition to being a licensed Real Estate sales Representative, Kathy is also a Certified Staging Professional and provides staging for all of our listings. if the Seller is agreeable to that. You can then concentrate on packing up and leave the decision making up to the professional. The difference between a staged home and an unstaged one is spectacular. Let your house stand out from similar ones and have a smooth transition to your new home.
SELLING YOUR HOME ON YOUR OWN - OR USING A REAL ESTATE SALESPERSON
If you are buying a home, then, before you decide on whether this home is your dream home, the following checklist will help you look at prospective homes with a critical eye. We suggest printing this page and putting it on a clipboard. When you find a home that really interests you, mark the features you see and note their general condition on this list.
If you have decided that now is the time to sell your home, you might be thinking: should I hire a Real Estate Sales Representative or do it alone. Have you ever considered repairing your own car? Anyone can buy the tools and parts. However, most of us just do not have the knowledge, training, experience or the expertise and commitment of time to do the job properly. Besides, there are plenty of experienced professionals to do the work for us.
There are many television shows today that focus on home staging. If you have not watched any, do yourself a favor and tune in. They all say the same thing: do not even consider putting your house on the market until you have taken a close look at its condition. Experienced sales people know that you only have one shot at impressing potential buyers, so take some time to prepare your home for showings. You will be rewarded with a faster sale and a higher offer.
A very accurate saying is that "Any home will sell once you get the price right." Of course, this is usually said from the perspective of dropping a price until it's too attractive to pass up. Actually, the accurate pricing of your home prior to listing is as much an art as it is a science.
